McCann and Partners would like to congratulate our own Electrical Engineer Kian Spillane and Mechanical Engineer Geraint Harcombe on achieving their degrees at the University of the West of England this month.

Kian and Geraint, who are both based at McCann and Partners’ Cardiff office, have been studying BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering for the past 3 years at UWE in Bristol.

We are delighted to announce that they have both achieved First Class Honours in their sponsored degrees and will now be going on to study for the MSc in Environmental Design of Buildings at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University.

On graduating, Geraint said “I’m ecstatic to have graduated with a first class honours. The endless late nights and weekends now all feel worth it! I’m incredibly grateful for the support provided by McCann and Partners, not only has their funding made this goal achievable, but the knowledge shared by the engineers within the office is second to none. I’m hopeful for a long future at McCann’s and look forward to progressing onto an MSc in Environmental Design of Buildings at Cardiff University in October”.

Kian added "delighted to have achieved my target of graduating with a First Class Honours. Thanks to all members of staff and my peers at the University of the West of England, and the continued support of all at McCann and Partners, whose legacy of supporting development at all levels is greatly appreciated, as I look forward to the next chapter in my personal development at Cardiff University to study the MSc in Environmental Design of Buildings".

McCann and Partners Director Matthew Williams said “we are incredibly proud to be continuing a long tradition of supporting our staff in gaining academic qualifications alongside their on the job training. This year, we will be supporting six people with higher education and we can’t wait to see how they get on".

Congratulations again to Kian and Geraint, what a fantastic achievement.
