McCann and Partners carried out MEP design for state-of-the-art ambulance station in Aberaeron

Mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy McCann and Partners completed the MEP design on behalf of Lawray Architects for the new state-of-the-art ambulance station at Aberaeron.

Ambulance crews in Cardigan Bay are now working from a 1,700 square foot building at Hywel Dda University Health Board’s Minaeron complex that includes a two-bay ambulance area, garage, kitchen, rest rooms, showers and desk space.

The building is now a modern base for emergency and non-emergency crews, who, until recently, were working from a portakabins.

The new facility will include a ‘make ready’ depot for the cleaning and re-stocking of ambulances, as well as an education centre and a hub for the Trust’s Cycle Response Unit.

McCann & Partners also recently handed over an ambulance station for the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust in Pentwyn.

Chris Morgan, Director at McCann and Partners, said: “McCann and Partners are very proud to have been a part of its development alongside a fantastic collaborative team which included Swansea-based Edmunds Webster Ltd and Lawray Architects.”
